NHS Wales App Software update
The NHS Wales App will be receiving a software upgrade which will be starting from 11th September 2024.
This upgrade will ensure that the App utilises the latest software, aligning with current security standards, technological advancements, and compatibility with new devices.
This means some older mobile devices may not be compatible with the new software update and will no longer support the NHS Wales App. However, patients and the public can still access the NHS Wales App via an internet browser.
Anything over Android 10.0 or Apple iOS 14 (iPhone SE 1st generation and iPhone 6S and 6S Plus) will be fine.
When the upgrade is ready, patients and the public who have the NHS Wales App installed on their smart device will receive a notification in the App asking to update to the latest version. Updating will be just like updating any other app on your phone.
Apple devices
iOS 14 or higher is required.
Devices unable to run the NHS Wales App after 16/08/2024:
- iPhone SE (1st generation)
- iPhone 6S & 6S Plus and above
